Chants for the Old Ones is a board game based on the works of H.P. Lovecraft. Players form a cult with the sole purpose of summoning an Old One – those mighty entities of abyssal antiquity who show utter disregard for this insignificant species called humanity.
To achieve your goal, you have to recruit new followers to your cult and leverage your influence and power in the three vital enclaves of Arkham, Innsmouth, and Kingsport. With enough summoning power, sufficient arcane knowledge, and the occasional sacrifice, you may even be able to invoke the aid of some horrifying creatures to rid yourself of those pesky investigators – deluded humans who seek to dismantle your organization from within.
Each Old One has its own whims to be attended to before they heed your call. Do you have what it takes to summon them? Each game you will play a different Old One that will require new strategies to win the game.
With intense replayability, Chants for the Old Ones combines deck building and worker placement mechanics in a themed game with more than 70 unique characters, creatures and Old Ones.
